In its more than fifteen-year history, the WPI Wall Street & FinTech Project Center (formerly Wall Street Project Center) has been dedicated to student-led, project-based learning in finance and technology.

Each year, senior undergraduate student teams from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) complete Major Qualifying Projects (MQPs) with investment banking and other financial firms on Wall Street and elsewhere.

Project-based learning is the WPI curriculum, requiring students to apply the knowledge learned in classes and labs to real-world situations, developing solutions to problems that matter to real people.   Interdisciplinary student teams in the Wall Street Project Center complete rigorous, full-time project work onsite at sponsor firms. The projects leverage the students’ capabilities in their academic majors in business, technology, and mathematics. The teams are carefully guided by Faculty Advisors, who have extensive professional and academic experience in these disciplines.

The student teams generate real, value-driven results for our sponsoring companies.
